Looking For A Four Legged Friend?

For the past eleven years A.C.PAW Foster Care Providers have been demonstrating a love of animals that transcends the ordinary - rescuing just under 4,000 cats and dogs, puppies and kittens. Often we can work miracles with the homeless and abandoned, but the one thing we can't do is rescue another one until we find someone special to provide a permanent home.

A.C.PAW adoption coordinators are at the Traverse City PetSmart store, across from the Grand Traverse Mall on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm as well as Saturdays from 1pm to 6pm.

All companion animals from A.C.PAW are spayed/neutered and vaccinated; cats are tested for feline Leukemia (and F.I.V. if old enough). Dogs are tested for heart worm.  You will be required to fill out an application, agree to an interview and a follow-up. There is a $95 adoption fee for cats and a $120 adoption fee for dogs.

Chiquita is a six year old female.  She has short hair and is a brown tiger.  She is owner relinquished due to life changes.  She loves attention and gets along with other cats that are not dominant.

Bell is a 1-1/2 year old female.  She is a little camera shy, loves to be held very social

Sadie is a 3 year old Great Dane.  Her coloring is white and liver, she is on the small size for a Dane and is quite beautiful.  Sadie lost her home do to no fault of her own, her owner is sad but just couldn't afford to keep her.  Sadie is a little on the timid side and should be in a family of adults.  She would do best with a fenced in back yard and lots of love.

Patches is approximately four years old.  She is dilute calico and has been spayed.  She is a love, but may not get along well with other cats, so should be in a home where she is the one and only.

Silverbell is a 10 month old female silver and white short hair. Very Shy, loves to play fetch with a milk ring.  With love and patience, she will become your best friend.

Ginger is a blue grey color with a short dense coat, she resembles a Russian Blue with big gold eyes.  Ginger  has a bob tail due to an injury while she was a stray fending for herself.  At 2 years old she has a shy nature and would do best in a home with older children and adults.  She does not show well at our adoption site but once home and comfortable she is gentle and affectionate.  She is alright with other cats but prefers not to be in the company of dogs.  Ginger is worried with kitten season fast approaching she may have to wait a long time for her forever home. She would love to have a family of her own to love.

Minta is a 2 year old female, Minta loves everyone and will be a great addition to any family.

Natasha and Boris are kitties that were adopted in 1998, but their child has developed allergies so they need to bring the cats back to us. They are now 8 and 9 years old.  Natasha is short haired - Boris is long haired.

Mel is a little shy at first but is a very social and loving fella.

Tuukey (pronounced too-key) is a two year old gray and black striped tabby.  She loves attention, people and other pets.

Zander is a 1 year old male.  Has injury to left ear, due to a hemotoma.  This is a very loving boy.

Annie is a little older girl,  she is a terrier mix of undetermined mix.  Annie is a very sweet young lady and loves everyone.

Deiago is guessed to between 1 and 1/2 years old.  He will make a great family dog, is high energy and will need a large back yard to romp in or someone to walk or jog with him.

Fancy is so sweet and playful. She is a 8 month old black, brown and white long-haired spayed female.

Phyllis is 3 years old and she walks like a sleek small panther.  She had a bite wound to her back leg, but it has healed nicely and she is now waiting for her new family.

Sophie's mom passed away and she is very unhappy.  She is about 5 years old, de-clawed and used to being pampered.  She would be best with a quiet home.

Billy Bob is three years old and a nice boy,  he in all
about life.  Does not care to be carried around by kids
but will tolerate if he has to.

Simone came to us from animal control. She is a
one year old female brown tiger. She is shy at first and it may take her
a little time to warm up.
Duncan is a beautiful four year old orange and white
male. He has long hair and is front de-clawed.
He is very laid back.
Mango is a bit shy, but a very sweet cat. She is a one year old
 tabby with short hair.

Murdock's foster mom tells us he is good with other dogs, ok with cats (doesn't seem to care one way or the other) and good with children.  He is a very mild tempered dog, extremely affectionate, loving and super nice.  He is a 4 years old, medium sized hound mix,  is house broken and will make a nice addition to any family. Murdock's family lost their home recently and could not keep him any longer.  They got him from A.C.PAW when he was a puppy and they are trusting us to find a family that will love him as much as they do.
